Casa Amarosa—meaning "beloved home"—was born from founder Nirali Guzman's deep nostalgia for her homeland and a desire to bridge two worlds. Growing up in an entrepreneurial family in Mumbai, India, Nirali was surrounded by the vibrant colors, intricate craftsmanship, and rich textile traditions of her culture, while also witnessing the realities of marginalized communities around her. After living in France and eventually relocating to the United States, she found herself longing to bring a piece of her beloved India to her new home. After years of corporate work as a brand and marketing strategist, Nirali made a bold transition to create something more purpose-driven—a venture that would honor her heritage, celebrate Indian artisanship, and create meaningful impact for the artisan communities she grew up admiring.

What started as a search for a way to share India's magic with the world eventually took shape as Casa Amarosa, a design-first company that works with small producers, micro-enterprises, and women artisans across rural India. With offices in India, Nirali's production team personally visits every vendor to ensure their values of quality craftsmanship, ethical production, and healthy workspaces are met. This isn't just about sourcing products—it's about building relationships, trust, and partnerships that empower artisans to advance their own lives, improve the well-being of their families, and contribute to the betterment of their communities. The result is a collection that captures the essence of Indian culture while infusing it with contemporary, globally inspired design that resonates across cultures.

Every Casa Amarosa product is developed in small batches and handcrafted using time-honored traditional techniques passed down through generations. From hand-embroidered suzani cushions featuring intricate patterns to hand-stitched pleated velvet pillows created using the ancient smocking technique, from block-printed textiles to hand-thrown ceramics, each piece is intentionally textural and celebrates the unique, artisan-made marks and beautiful character of the materials. Drawing inspiration from the intricate elements of vintage Indian architecture, the colors of bustling markets, and the textures of traditional fabrics, Casa Amarosa's earthy, rustic color palette and tactile designs bring warmth, authenticity, and global sophistication to modern homes—proving that contemporary style and centuries-old craftsmanship can coexist beautifully.

At the heart of Casa Amarosa's mission is empowering women artisans. A large majority of the artisans they work with are women from rural areas of India, for whom this work is a vitally important source of income. By employing these talented, ambitious women and collaborating with over 100 artisan and micro enterprises, Casa Amarosa aims to empower them with the resources they need to flourish, providing a forum to voice their ideas, concerns, and advice while giving them the freedom to express themselves and grow as artists. Certified by GoodWeave (ensuring no child, forced, or bonded labor) and as a Sedex supplier member, Casa Amarosa operates with transparency, social responsibility, and an unwavering commitment to ethical values—because as Nirali learned growing up, "it makes you realize what kind of impact you can actually have when you purchase a product." Every Casa Amarosa piece is more than home décor—it's a love letter to the artisans whose skills have enchanted Nirali since childhood, a bridge between heritage and modernity, and an invitation to bring mindful luxury and global artisanship into your everyday life.
