Goldie Home was born from the transformative solitude of the 2020 pandemic, when founder Sara Roberts—after nearly 20 years working in fashion, advertising, and publishing for the world's largest fashion media brands including ELLE as Creative Services Director—found herself cooped up in her Upper West Side Manhattan apartment with her husband Alan and their two young children. As the world stopped and socializing came to a halt, Sara discovered tremendous joy in gathering at the table every night with her family, where cooking dinner became the highlight of the day. This sparked something profound: she rediscovered how energizing and healing it was to be creative and tap into her artistic self, and realized how much she missed making things with her hands.

Fusing these two loves—artistry and gathering—Sara began making her own table linens using her original watercolor paintings and experimental dying techniques, including ice dyeing. What started as gifts for family and friends who couldn't be together in person during pandemic restrictions quickly blossomed into Goldie Home. Named after Sara's maternal grandmother—whose essence of light, warmth, joy, beauty, personality, fun, strength, and whimsy continues through both Sara's daughter and niece who carry Goldie as their middle names—the brand represents a commitment to bringing Art, Beauty, and Fun to the table.

Every print begins as an original watercolor painting by Sara, inspired by her everyday life in NYC and travels abroad—the color of building facades, interior accents like rugs and tiles, and the European tradition of dining al fresco. Her personal style, a blend of New York sophistication, European elegance, and Mediterranean color and light, translates into vibrant, versatile designs that work as bold statements on their own or perfectly paired with everyday favorites. Each piece is printed on 100% European linen and ethically produced in Portugal, bringing together sophisticated design with sustainable materials. Carried by ABC Carpet + Home (a dream fulfilled from Sara's childhood visits to NYC), Goldie Home celebrates the joyful, modern table where connection and conversation come together—because there are few things more special than sitting at the table with people you love, and these moments should last longer.
